Meringue pie, with lemon

I like my lemon meringue pies 70% meringue, 30% lemon. The meringue is the best part, after all.


Also really happy with the pie crust made with my new food processor and silicon rolling pins = invaluable.

Meringue Kisses


black licorice + dark chocolate meringue kisses.
(an Icelandic invention, apparently)

Take egg whites left over from ice cream making, and whip with sugar til stiff:


Then add chopped licorice (true licorice, mind you--not that Red Vine stuff) and shaved dark chocolate, and bake!
