I suggest adding mini chocolate chips or pieces of mint chocolate to the batter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569004503761494300.post-4028168385517054062011-08-12T00:05:14.168-07:002011-08-12T00:05:14.168-07:00Hi Char, I'm sorry that you thought this reci...Hi Char, I'm sorry that you thought this recipe was too salty! If you have a picture, I'd be happy to advise on how much salt to use. I used the word "liberally" because, after all, it's a salted dessert, so it should be more liberally salted than your average, run-of-the-mill sweet.shihbakesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569004503761494300.post-34853440603778361592011-08-07T06:31:51.891-07:002011-08-07T06:31:51.891-07:00I made these last night and the word "liberal...I made these last night and the word "liberally" should be changed to "sparingly". I used ground pink himalayan salt from Trader Joe's because it's mild and they were still too salty. I had to throw the whole bunch away. The brownies were great, but the salt ruined them. "30-35" minutes is a better time frame for baking too. :0( Charnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569004503761494300.post-71876343066080322672011-07-06T22:53:04.751-07:002011-07-06T22:53:04.751-07:00Yum, salty/sweet is my alltime favorite combo. Yes, the batter here is thick, but it shouldn't be dry. I'll play around with the flour/butter ratio a bit more and let you know what I find. Perhaps a conversion into more exact weights is in order for this recipe. The mixture was relatively dry to begin with, and I only had to bake it for 20 minutes. It came out great, although a little dry. Not sure what to do to compensate for that. Maybe use less flour? Anyway, overall, they came out great! The coarse sea salt adds the kick that makes this an excellent recipe! With a little vanilla ice cream, it's incredible!
